The Chi Running workshop is taught in two sessions, Level l and Level ll. Originally, the workshop was a one-day affair, but very few instructors teach it that way anymore. The reasons are two: First, fatigue set in by mid-afternoon for both the instructor and those attending creating diminishing returns for both; second, muscle memory being what it is, without having time to practice the techniques from early in the workshop, learning those presented later became problematic. That brings up the question of whether one can become a good Chi Runner without taking Level ll. Yes, and many do not come back for the second session; however, those who have have told me time and again that the review portion of Level ll alone is worth it. Plus, of course, there are more skills to help you become as efficient and less prone to injury as possible.
