Learn Chi Running

Chi Running is taught in two workshops, LEVEL I and LEVEL II.

WORKSHOPS are regularly scheduled in SAN JOSE. PRIVATE WORKSHOPS are at your convenience and the location of your choice.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
SAN JOSE…
ALMADEN LAKE PARK. Almaden Expressway at Coleman Road, San Jose. 

LEVEL I: First Saturday of the month. 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

LEVEL II: Periodically as announced in the newsletter or by appointment.

SANTA CRUZ…
SEACLIFF STATE PARK. Aptos.

LEVEL I: By appointment.

LEVEL I

You will be guided through many exercises and drills designed to leave you with a clear sense of what the Chi Running technique feels like in your body. We will not be doing a lot of running, so no matter what physical condition you’re in, have no fear. We will spend the time alternating between demonstrations, fun exercises and technique drills…the nature of the day will be relaxed yet inspiring.

All sessions include video gait analysis.

    • Introduction to the Chi Running  Form
    • Posture, Lean, Lift

    • Learning to Use Your Gears
    • Core Muscle Drills and Exercises
    • Pre-run Body Looseners, Post-run Stretches
    • Run Various Speeds While Conserving Energy

COST: Workshop — $144. Limited to 6 participants. Private — $225 for one person, $250 for two.

LEVEL II

After a warm up and recording of a ‘Before’ video, a brief discussion of the Chi Running experience, followed by:

LEVEL I review:

  • Posture, Alignment, and Column.
  • Gait

LEVEL II:

  • Hip Rotation — For Efficiency and Speed.
  • Breathing — In Cadence and Recovery.
  • Hills — Review and with Hips.

Record ‘After’ video, and video review.

COST: Workshop — $123. Limited to 6 participants.  Private — $225 for one person, $250 for two.
